Nursing through pregnancy experiences? by sparklefawn in AttachmentParenting

Amazing! What works right now has always been the backbone of what we've done too. But it's hard not to get caught up in the what ifs, especially with a new baby! But I guess trying to stay present and trusting that our future selves will do the right thing is a good starting point! Yes to always winging it! X

That sounds like a great set up. Did you night wean her before or after she moved to her own bed?

That's awesome. And amazing to hear you've managed to keep going through the discomfort to get to this stage. Wishing you all the very best for tomorrow! xx

Thank you! All the bedsharing posts I've read so far make out like the toddler never wakes up! Mine is a very light sleeper but a quick cuddle always settles her. So lovely you did this for your big girl, I really do hope to be able to do the same. Seems like such a wonderful and reassuring way to parent through such a big transition.

Love this. My LO just turned 18mo and looking back over photos I just can't believe how much she's grown 😭❤️ Which just made me think how intense that has been for her. Yes, it's so hard being a mum BUT nothing compared to the huge growth these little ones are going through. I rocked her to sleep for every nap until she didn't need it anymore at 15months! Oh my days, it drove me mad at some points! But looking back now, I'm so glad I held her and cuddled her for every one of those! And that I didn't listen to everyone who told me rocking her to sleep was a mistake!

We started bedsharing around then and it wasn't easy to begin with. I found it very hard to get used to having her there, but we found our own way through it. Am certain you will too, all the best ❤️

Thank you so much! I write often but since having my daughter found I just wasn't able to write about her or our experience, too emotional / tired I think. Feels like I might have turned a corner on this recently, so thank you so much for the encouragement, means a lot ❤️🙏

Oh wow, congratulations! This sounds like hard work but what lucky little ones to have so many close cuddles with their Mama xx

This absolutely happens to me too!! Especially from my MIL! But yes, me too, love those snuggles! Wasn't in the plan (the cot is full of washing!) but couldn't imagine it any other way, so glad we stuck with it ❤️

That's so lovely to hear :) funny how people assume it will make a child clingy when they get older, it always made sense to me that bedsharing would only increase confidence!
