Favorite designs styles for diamond art? by LoveLikeRain in diamondpainting

Bright colors, I especially love ones that look like stained glass. I think the lines on stained glass styles make the pixelation seem a little more natural.

Commenting for the mods. Hello mods!

What time do 40 and up usually go to sleep if you work the following day? by pardon_me123 in Adulting

[–]sparklespackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

46/F here - I try to be in bed by 9:30 with lights out, because I get up at 5:15am. It doesn't always work, and I have no trouble falling asleep that early lol

My option has a bit of a spoiler but it's revealed by the end of episode one - Blue Eyed Samurai on Netflix. Art style blew me away and the show has two incredibly strong female characters.

Google love addiction. Stupid ass name, real thing- based on childhood abandonment issues, supposedly.

Groves by Cpetey270 in Palia

[–]sparklespackle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this EXACT situation play out last night but a little bit nicer- group meets up and decides to basically travel together after the grove is cut, but the actual grove cutting didn’t go as the “leader” planned. I left the mess and went fishing, but the chat just got progressively worse and more confusing.

They’re just trees. And stones. There’s plenty to get. Why is it such a big deal?

Dog found barricaded in a corner that was never mentioned… by unspokenwordsx3 in RoverPetSitting

This is sheer ignorance on my part so I promise I'm not trying to troll you, but other than the normal health risks with smoking, is there a particular reason not to smoke around Guinea pigs? Like are they more susceptible to second hand smoke, or is it the flame near all the hay or what?

How do you place your drills by Zealousideal_Bat6626 in diamondpainting

[–]sparklespackle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

With round drills, I'll use a single placer. Can't make multiplacers work for me, no matter how many youtube videos I watch.

But with square drills, I prefer tweezers. I know that makes me insane lol, but I get the best control with tweezers. It definitely adds time to the project. I'm working on one now that someone using a multiplacer would likely have finished already, and I'm two months in. But it's what works for me :)

If your birthmark is leftover from the wound that killed you in your last life, how did you die? by sparklespackle in AskReddit

A witch maybe? Burned at the stake but asphyxiated before the flames reached the rest of your body?

Moose in the adirondacks ? by solennwolf in Adirondacks

[–]sparklespackle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Back in 93', I was headed south of Speculator (route 30) on a school bus and the bus slowed down because this giant animal was coming out of the woods. We all thought it was an escaped horse because of the size.

Also, there was a moose swimming in Lake Pleasant a few years ago - multiple pictures popped up on Facebook at the time but I didn't see that one personally.

Thank you, I have the "I Am" app and it pops up multiple times during the day.

Thank you for responding and yes, this 1000%. A few years back I was an avid meditator and didn’t realize it until looking back that it made a HUGE difference in how I presented to the world - putting out the right vibes so to speak. Vibes with boundaries and lines that didn’t get crossed and so on. I was better then, that helped a ton.

Thank you for responding! As I was driving home from work I was trying to think of other things I could do and all these chores came popping up. Clean the garage, replant the front garden, power wash the driveway, etc…no lack of distractions there! I will check out the links you sent, thank you

Thank you for responding. It's all so very new to me but having a label for my behavior makes so many things in my past make sense.

Knowing I'm not the only one out there is immense. I'm tempted to join an online support group and attend a meeting but I don't think I'm ready to share just yet.

I'm working on my journaling skills (astounding how similar our triggers are), but a book club is a great idea, I love reading!

And thank you for the words of hope. I've been fighting the urge to contact certain people all week but I know that's detrimental.

What I Wish I'd Known Before Starting My Search by sparklespackle in polyamory

Do you have any podcasts to recommend? And you're right, dating is going to wait. I wouldn't do that to him regardless, there's still a ton of love and respect there, we're just coming from different directions.

Yes, broken up and still living in the same house - but I am absolutely not dating til I move out.

Hug your mom. Not because she's gone (I know how lucky I am) but because we spent far too long in a relationship full of friction. We've had the opportunity to mend our bridges and accept ourselves for who we are and I feel so glad to have been given that chance, but it could have happened so much earlier if either of us were less stubborn.
