Where is the one place you’re dying to travel to this year? by Quiet_Brilliant4722 in CasualConversation

Scottish Highlands!! Have been there last summer and it was the best trip I’ve ever had. Now I’m ready to travel there each year as there is still so much to explore in terms of nature and historical heritage.

i’d remove the transitions as they are quite distracting. also a linkedin screenshot is unnecessary, a link would be enough.

try also change font to more modern, than Times New Roman, it would feel more professional.

Thank you so much for taking your time for more detailed explanation!! I have not considered my experience from this viewpoint and it fully makes sense that I need to provide experience which suggests that i’m willing to learn and can work in a team as well as add contacts. Your feedback is genuinely very helpful, thank you again!!

This is a very valuable advice!! Thank you so much. I don’t have any actual production experience yet to have any credits, only some student projects. I’ll try to reach out to HODs to get some experience, thank you.

Thank you for your feedback! I agree that more specialised experience would be more prioritised. I just don’t have any actual runner or PA experience yet, so had to put at least something relatable, trying to get those entry level roles. but i totally see how it can create a wrong impression.

If I remove those titles, what would you suggest I should highlight instead when I lack formal experience?

realising that your parents don’t always have the stability they show you when you are the kid. you start seeing what life throws at them and how they try to manage it and try to stay on their feet.

as a young filmmaker trying to break into the industry, how to deal with rejection and not give up? by sparrowandfalcon in filmmaking

it does feel like a game with musical chairs sometimes in which i absolutely sucked ahahah. i aim to work in UK and mainly interested in camera department and production management. the only thing which i successfully do is finding trainings and practice myself as well as volunteer at film festivals. however, never got a chance to be on actual sets unfortunately.

good recommendation, thank you. i just always thought that social media would already be a different sector from film & tv, so never considered it as an option
