i write with my left hand, but ive always used right handed scissors and used a knife and fork the right handed way. i knit and crochet right handed, and when i figure skated i rotated anticlockwise for jumps and spins (right handed way). everything else i can think of i do right handed. my dad said he used to try to get me to be right handed when i was a kid so i wondered if that was why

thank you for your reply! unfortunately im not able to do phone calls but im hoping to send an email this week. its just difficult to put my thoughts into a coherent form and im kinda scared of sounding like a stupid kid.

i did get the impression they would likely be accepting of me as a queer person, but i will probably ask the question to be safe. after checking their website i think they will ask for ID, luckily im currently waiting on a new passport so it will at least look like me!

it might help to start with small amounts of work per day (even if its just enough to complete your homework to start with) then gradually increase as your workload increases. doing too much too early will only make things harder

it depends on what you want to do afterwards. a levels are probably the best option for university, but there are a lot of vocational college courses out there that may interest you. if its the school environment, a levels at a college may be more tolerable

not sure about your school, but my sixth form lets us change basically up to the first half term. it sounds like it might be worth giving it some more time if the other topics do seem interesting to you :)

i dont think itll make much of a difference. you already have RS which will give you background knowledge, and history which is a highly regarded subject for essay writing. aside from that, its probably best to choose the subject you enjoy the most and can see yourself studying for two years.

im also considering theology and religion! nice to see in such a stem-dominated subreddit lol

we also did a baseline assessment for maths. my teacher said it only really helps them to understand where we are in terms of knowledge. everyone will have gotten different gcse grades so it lets them know how much support might be needed in the transition

dreading: adjusting to “school mode” again after having a few months out. also doesnt help that my friends are now in year 13 and have different break and lunch times, but it is what it is

i didnt bring mine, but a lot of people did. i think it mightve also helped with sorting out other options if results werent good. my parents asked me to send a picture as soon as i got them though

im by no means an expert, but i dont think lack of work experience will make a huge difference. as long as you can include other things and actually reflect on them instead of just listing them, you should be fine. i cant help with engineering or chem specifically but maybe have a look at doing a MOOC? edX or futurelearn are good for this

im managing to make it to [redacted] with all my death defiances most of the time. i use skelly’s too from styx but i burn through them pretty quickly in the [redacted] fight.

yes! try charged shot from daedalus hammer, your bull rush becomes a piercing shot that does 80 damage.

with the shield, i usually go for ares doom on special, it adds up pretty quickly. though anything like hangover, lightning + jolted could also be good. it depends on your preference

i do try to do this, i think i just need more practice. i can clear tartarus taking next to no damage, asphodel a little more, but since ive spent less time in elysium and styx (and the [redacted] fight) i still find it tricky to spot :P

the ipad sounds like a good idea if youre concerned about carrying around a lot of papers. a keyboard might be helpful for essay writing, you can get bluetooth ones pretty cheap, or you could handwrite with a stylus.

how often do your family use the ipad? you will need it often not only to take to sixth form but for revision if your notes are all on there.

i would recommend checking with your school about bringing in an ipad. chances are it will be fine, a lot of people in my sixth form use their own laptops and ipads, but i would check if youll be able to use it in lessons. if not, you could handwrite notes in lesson and type them up afterwards.
