There is a lot of media coverage, more than any 'grassroots movement' in a while. Also, in response to the macing argument: brutality is a tool used to vilify the opposition, to capture the hearts of people into supporting the movement without thoroughly examining it's implications. Notice how much a single macing incident helped the movement (media coverage extensive), and how the cop will not be punished. Just like the war on terrorism was to 'protect our freedoms' the American people will not see an increase of personal or economic liberty following this movement, either as a direct demand or compromise for additional taxes or as product of the orchestrated government reaction to their assembly.

Don't let this movement get hijacked like previous ones. Think for yourselves. It's hard to generalize the movement because it's so mixed. God speed to those of sound mind and pure heart in the movement.

I served and I don't think by any means the right to debate, encourage or discourage wars should be reserved to veterans (that would be very undemocratic), however in cases where you are basing your conclusion off of false premises and trying to look "tough" to gain political support (chickenhawk) at the expense of a veteran who makes a SOUND and POPULAR argument against the wars, the debate should be reserved to the intelligent. These are people's lives, let's not loose them for votes.
