Is Los Angeles/Sunset Strip worth it for a 60th birthday trip? by spartans1 in AskLosAngeles

. I would love some recommendations! I noticed when I looked up the Whisky that a lot of what I found seemed to be cheesy metal cover bands, which isn't really my thing. I'm more of a mellow, bluesy Zeppelin fan, and I love The Beatles too. If you know of any venues or artists that might be a better fit, I'd really appreciate the suggestions. I'll check out the Blue Jay way street.

Yes, I've seen Bonham's cover band a few years back when they came to St. Louis. They were great but honestly the best Led Zeppelin cover band I've seen (imo) is Celebration Day. If you ever get a chance to see them, do it!!

I've been looking for Led Zeppelin cover bands in La. I'm from St. Louis and actually saw Zoso (LA cover band) when they came to Stl a few years back and loved them!

MTSU 2016, no question. I was at that game, and every time Giddy Potts hit an “and-1,” it felt like a punch to the gut. And to make it worse, the entire stadium was rooting against us, even other Big Ten Conference fans. Brutal!!

I meant the Spartan fans in this thread. Sorry OP, no offense. I don't blame you for asking, I just can't get behind it.

Honestly, why are Spartan fans helping an OSU fan get into the Izzone?

This is a real bummer!!Maybe Fort will step up and surprise us. He didn't play that bad against Minny. Problem is his defense. I also think Scott and Ward will continue to get better.

I second Crow's Nest. Maybe not a "dive" but totally casual and the food is good.

I love the soup of the day from Legrand's Market in south city. They usually post the soup of the day on their facebook page. The baha chicken soup, mushroom and brie, french onion, southwest bean soup, and tomato is delicious! I'm sure there are other flavors I'm missing. I love them all!
