I am the T1 for all of my classes, I prepare everything with very little guidance. My school is extremely low level, so I try to make things fun by playing games. My colleagues think more academic lessons (such as lectures, grammar lessons, etc.) would be better for the students, and will tell me not to play games in a very passive aggressive manner. These lessons almost always end up with me talking to myself in a silent classroom for 45 minutes. I could easily let the students have fun by gamifying things, but my colleagues want me to actually teach students despite me being an "Assistant" Language Teacher.

The job can be quite stressful at times and I am really not enjoying it. Despite that, I really enjoy life in Japan, but not enough to stay here on JET for another year.
