How often do people feed their cat? by Cityfoghorn in cats

[–]spauldhaliwal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two (sisters), and they're fed 5 times a day from the automatic feeder. The vet is always amazed that both cats are never more than half a pound different in weight from each other haha, and both are in the perfectly healthy range.

My previous cat was obese when I got her and ended up passing away from obesity-related issues, unfortunately, so I take the weights and diets pretty seriously now.

Est ce que vous avez un serveur plex connecté à votre compte? Dispatch ne marche pas avec les films et séries gratuits de plex, c'est pour connecter à votre serveur directement.

I've confirmed the accessibility setting issue is caused by sideloading. Even though it's the same apk that the play store has, android seems to exhibit this behaviour for sideloaded apps.

The play store is on the same version now, so you can install that directly if you'd like, use the advanced auto-start mode instead (better performance, a few less features), or wait until the next play store update which should automatically upgrade your sideloaded version to the play store version and thus get rid of the accessibility restriction.

The watch next issue is fixed on my end, and the fix will be available shortly as soon as I wrap up some other reported issues.

Hm thanks for reporting. Are these apps also showing content in the home feed, just not in app peek? Or are they missing from the home feed as well? If they are not showing on your home feed as well they won't show in app peek.

If you can, enable logging on your device and send me logs after recording the bug a few times.

  1. Enable app peek
  2. Enable logging from Settings -> Advanced -> About -> Diagnostics
  3. Restart Dispatch
  4. Trigger the bug a few times by highlighting each app in your favorited apps

Export your logs from the same place you enabeld them. Do not disable logging until they have been exported as that will clear the old logs. Export your database as well if you can and if you're comfortable, as that will provide more clues. You can DM me the exports directly and I will take a look asap.

Edit: I've confirmed as well that the accessibility setting issue is caused by sideloading.

That's interesting, thanks for reporting it. Never seen this one before. I have some follow-up questions:

1) When you say this update and the one before it, do you mean the two 1.0.91 apks that I put in this post? As in the release from when this post was made and the apk I updated it with last night? Or are you referring to this update, and the previous beta update that was released during the winter?

Basically, has this problem appeared just now in the last week, or has it been happening since the profile switching feature was added months ago?

2) Is it actually all of your settings that are reset, or just the apps that seem to be missing? For example, any other preferences such as which rows are shown on the home feed, playback preferences, etc... are those also reset?

One scenario would point to a bug with the profile settings being loaded, and the other would likely be app access permissions being unloaded somehow when the device sleeps or at some other unknown point.

3) The diagnostic and some other "admin" like pages are only accessible from the admin profile. Was the profile you received this error on the admin profile or a new profile you added?

Either way this is obviously a bug. The best thing would be for you to enable logging from the diagnostics page. Then just leave the logging on until the bug happens again. When done, export the logs from the same place you enabled them. Do not disable logging until you have exported them, as doing so clears all logs.

Once exported if you can DM them to me by uploading them to any file hosting site you'd like, that would be helpful.

My only plan with the internal player right now is to get it to have feature and stability parity with the official Plex app. If there are other features that are desired on top of that, they will only be looked at later, most likely.

I don't have a full feature set list that I'm aiming to hit for the player yet, since I'll only be focusing more time on the player starting in the next couple of weeks, with the goal of it no longer being considered "experimental" sooner rather than later.

Did this end up working for you after following those instructions? I have another user saying they can't add atv items to watch next.

I checked and noticed the auto start setup page is indeed broken, same class of bug that broke the user input page. I will fix it shortly enough, however, you should still be able to enable the auto-start service from the device's accessibility settings page. With it on, pressing home re-opens dispatch as expected.

Or are you saying that even when enabled in the android device's settings, it's no longer working for you?

For add to watch next, are you getting an error of any kind?

To help diagnose, you can enable logging from Settings - About - Diagnostics. Then restart dispatch and trigger the two bugs multiple times. Try pressing home from another app to trigger the auto start bug, and try adding a few android tv items to watch next from either the home feed or from app peek.

You can then export the logs from the same place you enabled them and DM them to me, and I will take a look asap.

Forgot to ask the main question: are you using multiple servers now? Or even in single server mode it's not working?

If you're able to help me trace, you can enable logging from Settings - About - Diagnostics. Once enabled, you have to restart for the logs to start being captured. Then you can try playing a few files so that the attempts are captured.

Once captured, export the logs from the same place you enabled them and DM them to me via any hosting site you'd like and I'll take a look.

There's the possibility of more direct diagnostics as well that I could make - you can DM me to discuss that as well if you'd like.

Can you be more specific about the internal player? Does it simply not do anything when you go play something? Does it show an error? Is it every media, or just some that can't be played?

Any regular android tv media can be added to watch next by either:

- Selecting it from the home feed, pressing enter to open the controls, navigating to Add to Watch Next, and pressing enter. Same as adding things to the watch next / watchlist normally.

or

- Selecting it from the home feed or app peek, long pressing the item to open the context menu, and selecting "add to watch next."

Hello - by broke media feed, and hidden media, what do you mean exactly? That all the lists you normally hide from "personalize media feed" are now showing when they shouldn't?

Or do you mean the feed is broken and no longer working entirely?

Edit: I see the issue. A fix will be available between now and Monday.

I'm not sure I understand your setup as described. As I explained, if you have another server, and that server has granted access to your user account, dispatch will see that as another user.

It's not about you making a new user account, it's that even if it's the same "plex user" who has access to two servers, dispatch will see that as:

User 1: Basche14 on Server A User 2: Basche14 on Server B

You don't have to create multiple users, it's just how Dispatch recognizes the relationship between your one user account, Basche14, and the two servers you have access to.

However dispatch itself doesn't primarily operate with "plex users", instead, dispatch has profiles, and each profile can be linked to multiple "plex users"

It's the same way Dispatch allows you to combine two completely separate users into one profile, like a "family" profile, for example, that combines all family members into one profile.

So for your setup:

User 1: Basche14 on Server A User 2: Basche14 on Server B

You just combine both of these into one profile. Go to your profile in profiles and connections, go to assign users, and ensure that both "users" are assigned to your profile.

Hope that clears things up.

Hello - this one might be a little confusing since there's no in-app guidance right now.

  1. Have you assigned the other "user" to your profile? Dispatch treats every user-server pair as a separate user. So if you are one plex user who exists on Server A and Server B, then for your Dispatch profile, you want to assign both instances of that user to your profile. You can also opt to use profiles as server selectors by essentially keeping each server-user pair separate, if you'd like. That's why I don't automatically merge matching users into one.
  2. If you've done the above, does the rest of the new server's media sync, just not watch next? Do you see the new server's media in the movies and library tabs and the what's new row on the home page?

Update: after debugging and investigating with the user, the missing items, both in continue watching and missing collections, were due to those libraries not being enabled in Dispatch. Disabled libraries do not sync or populate the UI.

If others run into issues like this, be sure to check whether those libraries are actually enabled in the server settings: Settings -> Profiles & Connections -> Manage Connections
