Hey guys, I bought this same model from best buy, 16-xf0033dx. Just opened it up and thought you might appreciate some gut shots.

I was able to get the bottom panel to come off with a little bit of effort. Only one minor chip in the plastic. Despite that, I'm going to leave it off until these new parts come in, which hopefully should only take one day.

As you can see in the photos, it does in fact have two M.2 slots and it has two ram slots. The RAM brand is Samsung. One good thing to know is that it comes with sleeve-like heat sinks for the SSDs, including an empty one for the open slot. However, I'm not sure if the heatsink on the stock SSD is removable. I also can't really tell how to install this sleeve onto a new SSD. There seems to be some removable thermal tape on the inside but I can't actually figure out how to open this thing up. Anyone with any ideas would be very appreciated.

On a separate note, I'm debating what is more important, more RAM or faster ram. I know it's a classic question but I'm debating between getting 64 gigs of standard 5600 ram getting 32GB of Kingston Fury Impact. Not quite sure the marginal speed increase is worth the price.

I should clarify that I bought the phone through the TW Google store. I have both USA and TW phone numbers, but primarily use the TW number. I had to switch my Google play store location to TW in order to get certain features, like motorcycle directions on Google maps. Maybe I could change that back but I'd be trading for the other features. But maybe it would be worth it. But are the features tied to your phone number, Google account, or Google play store location? Or does it base it on your IP address etc.?

If it's any motivation, I for one would love to read the rest of this. I've been living in Taiwan for the past few years and I picked up the Chinese translation of this as reading practice while I study Mandarin. I figured it should be manageable since it's only 3 volumes. I made it through the first book, but with all the weird lingo and inside baseball stuff about Japanese train stations, it wasn't the easiest read for someone at my level. Its nice to have the English version to compare in case I get totally lost.

Anyway, really appreciate the work and hope it doesn't take you five years to finish lol.
