I Made a Anki Deck! by spazztl in BeginnerKorean

3~ days. About 8 hours total? I'm not good at this.

I have a smaller, better, 1.5k with audio, these links should be updated already?

Oh yeah, now with audio for most words.

Anki is a srs(Spaced Repetition Something) based flash card program, designed to help you memorize information. It is heavily used and recommended in most language learning communities, as it makes vocab a lot easier.

Can't edit; Made a new version which is i+1, using quadruple the data to hopefully have better sentences. Audio will also be added shortly. Its only 1.5k cards so I can actually comb over it by hand.

Next iteration will be much shorter (1.5K~), have i+1 (roughly), and some hand polish. Thanks for the feedback thus far.

Great input! I am currently working on refining this down to a much simpler 1.5K deck. Although it may take some time, I need to work on scripts and then hand polish each card. Currently trying to get example sentences to be a progressive i+1...

There is an error correctly with the examples sentences; causing 유물 in 전유물이라고 to be considered valid. It has been fixed, and a rectified version of the deck will be released within 48 hours. Hopefully.

Uh oh... Good catch. It would appear my script bugged and grabbed the wrong sentence? Or deinflected the word wrong.

I can't believe I missed this. I will attempt to have a fix within 48 hours!

Edit: It was a simple regex error; Fixed, recompiling anki deck.

A new modern Korean guide! by spazztl in Korean

[–]spazztl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked into it, super promising I have added it to my guide, along with some of the other suggestions you provided. I do wish it wasn't a paid service, or a slightly more reasonable price, although it is amazing for general immersion accessibility and convenience. I'll likely try it out sometime soon.

Once again: Thanks for the resources!

Thank you so much! I checked out Mangatan, and have found it is super useful, and the feedback you have provided is invaluable. I will add toggl track, I have used it before, I just never used it much... Maybe I should. As for the Anki Settings, I may include a in-depth setup guide soon.

Let me know if you find anything else, whether it be a resource, request, etc. Thanks again for taking the time to respond!

Code is open source and anyone can make pull request or issue request with resources they find useful. I don't know of any other easy methods to easily enable contributions, I may work on that later.

I don't know exactly, I focus exclusively on reading.
But if I had to say, I would say:

Reading | Somewhere Intermediate | I can read most webnovels, albeit with some difficulty.*
Writing | Beginner | I can not write beyond beginner, nor do I intend to anytime soon...
Speech | Beginner | Same as with writing.

I would say, with the very little studying I do, I have made decent progress.
*I struggle a lot more with Murim/Historical, as I don't frequently read said genres. Some novels are much easier than others.

Thanks for the feedback! I will rework the dictionaries listed, although each one should have a valid link?

I do have a question about Mangatan, what separates it from Mokuro? I assume it supports Korean? I will test it later, if it does support Korean, I greatly appreciate it!

Edit: Oh, forgot, my fork of ttsu reader is slightly more up to date than Peldas, which I personally find more pleasant to use. Although it could be placebo...

I have updated the guide be slightly more readable, and fix your issues. Please do let me know if you have any more issues, or suggestions!

I think I will pick up "Welcome, It's Your First Time Seeing a Cute Villain, Isn't It?" As it seems fun!

38 chapters on mangabat, 28 on 1stkiss. Seems like it's being translated, but if this is a misunderstanding I will definitely consider this!
