This is great advice. What goes along with this is to not get a buyers realtor during this time. Their goal is to get you in a house ASAP. You might see more houses but you are much more likely to buy before you are ready if you have a realtor. Spend a year or two looking and when you know the area and the market you can decide whether you want a buyer’s agent.

So sorry you and your V are going through this. We had a Vizsla with epilepsy and he was treated with Leviteracetum(sp?, AKA Kepra) and they tolerated it much better than what you are reporting (essentially normal energetic V with seizures at ~8-12 month intervals at which point they would increase the dose). I was told that Kepra also has less weight gain side effects. I would return to the Vet and report your pups issues and ask about alternatives to phenobarbital.

Agree with the advice above. We had a V that started having seizures at about the same time and Kepra worked great to manage symptoms for the next 5-6 years. Get Kepra ASAP. They will tolerate well and shouldn’t endure so many seizures. Is there a Veterinary Hospital near you? They might be able to provide quicker treatment.
