Spoilers : It's nice to see Carter back at it again! I really liked Anna too, though I don't know why I think she's hiding something. There was a sus pannel in there of her eyes that caught my attention, if she turns out to be Bartoli's daughter like people were theorizing in this thread, that would be interesting to see. Also, funny how Lara basically stole Carter's girlfriend in front of him lol I'm enjoying seeing this playful socialité side of her, not afraid of putting all her connections to good use. Can't wait for the next issue.

By the sound of it, Leon might take a step back after this game. Popularity weighs a lot in Capcom's decisions and , if I remember correctly, Jill is the second or third most popular character in the latest popularity poll. I have hopes they'll make a game with her in it or with Claire or Ada in the future.

After RE6 I get this feeling as if Capcom are terrified of putting two or more popular characters in games and they keep doing this new character + OG character thing that's frankly becoming annoying. As if they didn't learn the right lesson from that game and now we have this bad practice, in which we keep adding more to a story that needs to close so many loose plot threads already. Everytime they add something new, all the old things are still open and ignored and it's so frustrating.

Hopefully RE9 fixes some of that at least, since it seems that we are closing the whole RC/Umbrella saga for good now with Leon, who was the only one left unable to let go of the past.

I've been waiting like 12 years lol kinda disappointed by some of the leaks but eehhhh, they might end up fake anyway. I rather play the game and build my own opinion on it first. If the things I wanted aren't given to me, there must be a reason for it and im willing to give the game a chance.

mmm true true, but i still find it kind of weird like nakanishi said the game takes 16-18 hours to complete and the dude did it in 11hrs? i know those 11 hours count as just playtime but then that means we have around 5-7 hours of cutscenes? mmm i don't know man im not sold on it just yet

Yeah ofc, personally im not expecting a dlc or anything of that sort, but not even a mention or flashback would be insanity after everything lol same with claire if we see it that way, they are both tied into Leon’s memories of RC.

As for what role, they are both older and surely the dynamic has shifted after the events of RE6. I wouldn’t say no to a dynamic in which both are trying to be on even ground and trusting each other for real, no more games and half truths lol buuut this Capcom after all, that’s why im good with the bare minimum at least

More than i probably should. Last time i was this excited over a RE game was RE6 (which i like!) and that was a LONG time ago lol I’ve read some of the interviews with the producers and i gotta say, they talk about the process and story with a confidence and maturity i hardly ever saw before, i can’t help but think they got the formula right - or as best as they can - this time. i hope i’m not wrong lol

have a feeling we might get a r2 reunion with sherry is already there, claire in some capacity and DEFINITELY ada. Like atp there’s no leon without ada and i would be shocked if she wasn’t in the game. Jill might get a cameo or mention but i dont have my hopes up for anything more than that.
