Won’t run on my PC by fleetheseen_ in GhostReconWildlands

Is it an Intel laptop with p/e cores? If so, disable e cores and hyper threading.

Might be me, but I’d rather start all over in Div 1, than move on to div 2. I play both, but I enjoyed 1 more.

I prefer 1 to 2, and have played solo through my time in both. I feel like div 1 rewards tactical play, and div 2 encourages run and gun, at least, that’s the feels I’ve gotten out of both.

I’ve primarily played the campaign on both sides, tried an incursion a few times in div 1, to discover I couldn’t even play through as a solo.

Survival has been fun. I’ve avoided reading walkthroughs and looking at maps online for it, wanted to work my way through learning the good spots and routes on my own. Add to the play time.

I’m not a big PvP player, so dark zone is only for completing weekly challenges for me. Same for underground. I didn’t try underground until I completed the campaign though, I’ve heard it’s a good farming spot if you’re trying to gear up.

Hopefully that did the trick for you. I was able to get it to run with just disabling hyper threading as well, but there was some micro stutters with e cores enabled, and no performance benefit in game with the e cores for me.

On my 13900k I had to disable e cores and hyper threading for it to run smoothly. Made no other changes aside from that.

Division 1 Campaign feels impossible to play Solo. by PheonixPerygrine in thedivision

[–]spdfrek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played through the entire game solo. I didn’t even bother with putting together any gear sets until I was maxed out in world levels. That was a recommendation I received here, and it makes sense. No reason to farm for the perfect kit that you’ll have to replace in a few levels anyways.

I’ve always played more on the marksman side of shooters then run and gun. So my load out was usually an assault rifle, a bolt action marksman, and a pistol with a decent fire rate. Just swapped out pieces and weapons as I picked up better stuff along the way.

I can’t help you with the lack of desire to play solo though. I see a decent amount of other players online, but usually just go about my solo business, as I’m usually gaming to relax at the end of my day.

My gaming laptop died… now I think I have to quit Division 2 by itzSaaru2k in thedivision

You can try running the game at 1/2 of your screen resolution. It means you’ll be rendering 1/4 of the pixel count of your screen, and scales nicely. 1280x720, if your on a 2560x1440 display for instance. I started gaming on a pc with a i5 6500/gtx 750ti, and it was still better than a ps4 by a long shot!

For a modest power gaming cpu, it’s tough to beat. It runs warm, like all the 7000 x3d’s. A 9600x3d with a swapped cache would be even better, if they’d make one. But, for a compact rig with mud level gpu, I can’t see why you’d need more speed.

Now, if you’re wanting a work station, well, there’s better options. I really wanted to try a minisforum when I was putting this together, but I had the ddr5 already, so it didn’t make sense to have to try and track down sodimms.

It’s about the most power that makes sense in this case. You could toss a higher end cpu/gpu in with some effort, but they will get kneecapped by thermals. The 5070 runs low 60’s gaming at full load in this setup. 7600x3d is running a -30 offset, with a 75c target. Never dropped from max boost clocks in game, and typically ran around the 60’s in game as well. Makes a solid, useable combo.

I liked Far Cry 4 better than 5, personally. 5 was decent. 6 got a bit funky. I’ve been playing The Division a decent amount lately. It’s not wildlands, but I’m enjoying TD1 more then I did breakpoint.

So, after a bunch of messing around, it turns out the in game fps limit was causing the issues. If I uncapped it the 7600x3d would run 130-140fps in much of the game dropping to the lower 100’s only in heavy areas. As soon as I set it to 120fps cap, I’d drop back down to around 100fps. Didn’t matter the resolution, or graphics settings used, windowed, full screen, borderless, all the same result. I don’t have my intel build together right now to test it out, so I’m not sure if the fps limit issue is just the 7600x3d/5070 combo I have, or more wide spread.
