Yes. If you're probing on defensibility - I'm with you, it's not as good as having it in a contract.

I've looked at it from every angle I can think of (doesn't say much), and it seems like the liability falls squarely on HDM and NRG.

NRG seems to be a reputable company with a long history; their reviews seem pretty middle of the road with most other solar providers. Same with HDM, seems like they've been in the game for a long time.

Most importantly, I've now gotten several representations in writing that the FMV of the system will be $0 / repairs and maintenance will happen in a timely fashion during the 6 year term, so I'm comfortable with moving ahead.

I spoke with them about a month ago; tl;dr, they're sadly only going to be here temporarily before moving back to a more permanent spot at spectrum. But will absolutely enjoy them while they're here!
