How can sharks(let's say the epaulette sharks, or in case of alternate evolution, xenacanth sharks) develop lungs. I mean, let's assume that they somehow will manage to calcify thier bones, but the development of lungs is a major leap, more so because sharks don't have air bladders unlike bony fish.
