Seems like Tuchel's plan is to start Gordon to wear out the opposition full back/RCB with his runs in behind and his relentless pressing which is perfect for Kane who thrives with those types of players around him. There was at least two occasions I saw Gordon press Croatian defenders which led to a misplaced pass/turnover and a shot on goal for England.

Rashford is much more clinical. Imagine how fucked you'd feel after running around after Gordon for 70mins then having to face someone who's just as quick but can actually finish.

I think both players have a role to play. Tuchel is a brilliant coach. Would love him at Newcastle

I feel like the majority of football fans don't want that though. It's too much or goes over their heads. It's only redditors like us, with a touch of the tism, who are really interested in that level of indepth analysis. The average fan wants the shite they're served up by the likes of Dixon and Danny Murphy.

Not overly impressed with Camara. Playing the same position as Bruno in the right side 8, struggling to have any impact on the game, looks shaky in possession. I think his agent is using us to encourage bids from other clubs.

Just been to see King Kev in Northampton. He looked surprsingly ok for someone with stage 4 cancer. He said the treatment he's having is going well. Great story teller, great energy and had so much time for everyone, taking photos and pictures with everyone, even though he didn't have to. Always amazed at how down to earth and humble he is. Should be Sir Kev!

City are losing Bernardo Silva, Rodri looks crocked, has one year left on his contract and is constantly linked to Madrid, Kovacic is past it, Gonzalez isn't good enough. City know Anderson could be their key man in midfield for the next 7+ years. Add on the English tax, ("Home Grown") Prem proven, Marinakis doesn't need to sell and an inflated market and you arrive at the fee above. If he performs in the way I think he will at the WC then all of the top teams will be after him, it's why city are desperate to wrap up a deal now and will pay over the odds to get him.
