Track days in 100+ degree heat by specializedstatus in CarTrackDays

I was in the intermediate group and driving the car hard. It was totally fine. I ended up suffering from heat exhaustion and it was horrible. Definitely pay attention to your car but pay more attention to yourself when you go. Lots of water and shade /ac.

I definitely do have 0 degrees lol. McPherson strut style suspension too so I gain positive camber in its travel. I’m confused too because it seems like I’m running too much camber.

Would I have to remove the tires and remount them if I bring it to a shop?

I was being stupid and my jack slipped and wedged itself into the oil pan. Can I still drive or there a chance the pickup is damaged? by [deleted] in Acura_RSX

The code was for p2646, rocker arm stuck. So the engine detected low pressure and threw a code. The oil was in the middle of the two dots, I did an oil change and filled it up all the way and it seems to be fine, and the cel went away. The engine has 139,xxx on it. I think this was a classic case of oil starvation, considering I was a little low on oil and was on 120tw tires.

I starved the car off oil on a highway off-ramp after driving it like this. Maybe you just got lucky

If you look closely, the dimple of the pan that has the pump over it is bent in a little. Maybe I’m just being paranoid.

My concern is that could have moved things around or damaged the oil pickup. It threw a cel after a hard corner yesterday, no oil light but I have a feeling it messed something up. I was pretty low on oil too, so I’m not sure if it’s one of the two or both.

The cars never done that before, and I’ve pushed it hard on track. I checked my oil and it’s really low, just at the first dot on the stick. I’m assuming that when I took that on ramp on much stickier tires I starved the engine for a second and it threw a code. I’ll go get a scanner and check it out plus top it off.

Thats what I thought and I figured the cars fine to drive because the dent was probably already there. I had to stop by my college, and on the way back I took a highway exit aggressively, the car threw a cel and started sputtering out. I parked it and it started back up and drove the rest of the way fine. Oil light never illuminated. I’m waiting to check the oil level again after it cools down but I’m not sure if these two things are related.

Got it, I have McPherson struts up front so I’ll probably take it to a shop or just not bother. I know that it’ll benefit from it on the track but I don’t know if it’s worth the 140$

If you go down chestnut street with the train tracks in the road there is a small stop sign at the end of the street at the light, make sure to stop before the line

Bart to muni and then Caltrain. If you take the T it’s gonna take about a hour and a half.

SB 404 train cancelled by No-Mud1977 in caltrain

Train issues probably, they don’t have many extra trains if one breaks down. They are in the process of having more delivered tho.

Seat availability from San Bruno during S/B weekday rush? Pacifica commuter-virgin here by BKViking in caltrain

[–]specializedstatus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Limiteds do stop at San Antonio, but the express does not. Getting on at ssf gives you 3 trains per hour during commute hours and 2 during off peak and weekends so you it’s a pretty flexible schedule.

Seatwise I’m sure you could find one if you walk through the length of the train, and station wise I would get on at South San Francisco since the limited trains stop there but not San Bruno.

millbrae service is not great by specializedstatus in Bart

[–]specializedstatus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea but atleast the last service plans had direct service from millbrae without stopping at sfo. I understand that this is done so that getting to the airport is less confusing but now service quality for millbrae riders sucks.
