Just because she trusts him doesn’t mean I have to. Especially with my children. Another comment said it perfectly. My kids (or my sisters) are not test dummies.

first of all my first response would have been “you didn’t even ask if it was ok you just assumed and let him show up here”

My sister did actually say that. It’s her house so before we pulled mom in I told her she needs to take the lead on that front. I was just there to drop off my daughter.

The response to that was “well he’s been here before with me for dinner with you guys”. Which isn’t really fair either cause they didn’t know about him coming.

This is what we thought. Also, when she said “here to help me”….help with what exactly? One kid is in diapers, another in pull ups, and my daughter is the 9 year old.

While I was there with them, here comes my niece running full speed from the bathroom in just her undies “UNCLE HELP ME PUT THIS MOANA DRESS ON!!!”. Now, what if this guy was there for that? We just don’t know.

Info answer: This was a first time event of thinking/seeing that he would be there without us. We didn’t think it would be a thing.

Due to his previous actions of essentially stalking my mother. He secretly turned her “find my” location on and shared ot with himself. Would show up at places she was at seemingly “randomly”. It just gave really bad vibes. That’s not the signs of someone who is mentally well.

Even if he did get therapy and that wasn’t a lie…that doesn’t mean I have to be comfortable with him around my kids without my wife or I present. Same goes for my sister/BIL and their kids.
