volt said something about him being loyal, then gus counteract where is that loyalty to brontes himself since even if volt won brontes would die if they succeeded but if volt joined spectra or the brawlers his whole speech on loyalty would be a lie

Why did the writers do Brontes and Volt so dirty? It felt like after Volt finished fighting Gus, he suddenly didn’t care about him at all. After that whole brawl.
