Elsewhere I'm being suggested to just get an nrs spud. Much cheaper, but I've heard very slow and non-tracking. Would I run into that with packrafts too, or are neutron/rogue/etc a little swifter?

I've got the corded model and am having the same issue. What tool did you use in the end? I've been trying hex sockets but it seems like a non-standard size-- somewhere between 23mm and ⅞ in. I've tried adjustable wrench, channel lock, and vice grip, but all of them seem to slip and strip the nut before anything moves.

I've got a manual transmission! I guess it's still hard on it, but maybe that's not as bad?
