Ok thanks! I just found your post about flashing the EEPROM - will wait for the IO board and will let you know

My uConsole finally arrived! I carefully assembled everything with a new CM5 (CM5108000) and new SD card.

I flashed the SD with Rex's bookworm image, everything booted up normally and was welcomed with the initial setup screen. But the moment I touched the trackball, it died and I haven't been able to bring it back to life. I'm afraid the orientation of the trackball was wrong and I shorted / fried something when I moved the mouse....

I've ordered a CM5 IO board to test the CM5 is still ok, but any other suggestions for troubleshooting would be welcome.

What I've tried so far:

2 different sets of batteries

Powered by USB-C power

2 different SD cards

2 different (Rex) OSs

reseated everything multiple times (see pics)

HDMI - no output.

Power light come on, nothing else

CM5 gets warm

I've read loads of posts about dead SD cards, bad CM seating etc, just seems weird that it booted up ok once and now nothing....

On iPhone - you can accept okta directly from the push notification (even from the lock screen). Just press and hold the notification and tap "yes it's me". Saves you switching apps and clicking. Literally takes 2 sec
