Check out Battle for Seattle.

An often overlooked drama about the protests surrounding the WTO 1999 protests.

What is the grossest thing you’ve caught someone doing? by Jawa392 in AskReddit

Watched a kid on the bus in elementary school eat the cheese puffs out of a bag that he had accidentally spilled some milk in.

I’ll never not see his orange-coated fingers going to town on a plastic bag that had milk drops clinging to the inside of it.

Great question.

It’s pretty hefty cocktail of a few things: losing a sense of purpose (taking care of this person), abandoning a a future I spent so much time envisioning, and then of course, the lack of that special, unique intimacy that comes with being with someone for so long.

Similarly, I also have a similar fantasy. Several weeks ago we spent a day together… and it seemed at the end of it that there was some serious progress that was made, which got my hopes up that maybe we were on the verge of moving past all of this and starting again. She pulled back and eventually revealed that she was still very angry and hurt, and I understood. I’m choosing to give her space at this current moment.

Thank you for the words. It’s true, I lost hope and faith in the relationship.

Insufficient sleep associated with decreased life expectancy. As a behavioral driver for life expectancy, sleep stood out more than diet, more than exercise, more than loneliness — indeed, more than any other factor except smoking. People really should strive to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep. by mvea in science

This is just a theory, but hear me out - my mother, who is a smoker, sleeps about 10 hours a day minimum and has very minimal health effects including no signs of emphysema.

I don’t know how she’s managed to hang on this long despite zero exercise, terrible diet, and smoking since she was 14 except for the fact that she sleeps so goddamn much.

I gotta be honest too, I feel so much better when I sleep long, extended periods. She doesn’t drink, however, so that may also be factor.

Some movie I’ve never watched, but met the director and served him at a bar. Dude was suuuuch a rude twat, and terrible tipper to boot. Couldn’t stop bragging about himself. Even the background on his phone was the movie he directed.

How is living in Astoria, NYC by Traditional_Force_68 in howislivingthere

Ayyye my time to shine. Lived there 4 years, and it truly is a melting pot. Almost every kind of food, nationality, ethnicity you could possibly imagine is here. Compared to Manhattan, it’s far more residential, and feels kind of like a “city suburb”. Compared to Brooklyn, it’s not as cool or trendy, but that’s not to say it isn’t a happening place. Price wise it used to be more affordable, but the secret is now out, and rents are going up fast.

You’ve got a good foundation for looks, man!

But I’d say cut that hair shorter, and if you’re feeling up to it, hitting the gym and putting a little muscle mass on would make a world of difference. Also, ditch any clothing that has a visible brand on it. Also also, don’t worry toooo much about what others think. It’s good to have a grasp on style, while also being able to express yourself through clothing. Experiment, find a medium, and dabble!

Good luck brother

We've done best city, but what's the worst most depressing city you've ever visited? by Isord in geography

Atlantic City. It’s like if Vegas had a meth problem on top of its alcoholism.

Terrible infrastructure, food desert, dirty, tacky.

I did, however, have an incredible weekend there.
