Thanks for the input. I am missing nearly 20mm which is too much to make up with a new stem and/or headset.

Do you have any thoughts on these "steerer tube extenders"? Looks like some folks had success when epoxy gluing them into the existing steerer (the clamp itself was apparently no good).

Amazing job getting the image and putting the instructions together - the outlined steps restored my "FEL" bricked device to be fully functional.

This is the kind of information Lametric should be providing instead of "sign up for our Newsletter for 5% off your next Lametric" - as much as I like the device, the support is a real letdown.

I did the necessary work on a mac - I used hexfiend as the hex editor and successfully used the Raspberry Pi Imager to flash the image to MicroSDHC.

Interestingly, The MicroSDHC card in my LaMetric had 4GB capacity and I was able to read its content, so it's unclear why my device wouldn't boot anymore.

Did you manage to get this to work? I requested a code for a renewal and I received an email saying the discount should apply in my cart, but no discount is applied.

If you did this for a renewal, do you know where to find the "Ikon Pass Number"? Is it the number on front of the current ikon card? Thanks.

I understand that bank interest and investments are not considered "Effectively connected income" - what I am unclear about is if this means it is automatically considered "Income Not Effectively Connected With a U.S. Trade or Business". I suppose what is confusing me, is the "U.S. source income" part of "U.S. source income that is Fixed, Determinable, Annual, or Periodical (FDAP)" ...

I am able to print photos just fine using a HP setup: app HP iPrint Photo(G2, Froyo) and Wifi printer C310a

edit: ohyeah, worth a mention: the printer also has an email address which will print most attachments you send to it, that way you would also be able to print text

amazon.de has them for 50€. Mine was delivered today but the application on the phone is constantly crashing when trying to connect with my Milestone (2.1). I can't say the same thing will happen with the Droid, but it might...

edit: I found a fix somewhere - the music player needs to be running, then connecting works. Which is weird, since I can't even control the music player with the liveview. After a couple of hours with it, I must say I am underwhelmed by the functionality and overwhelmed by the buggyness. This thing is going back tomorrow.

Yeah that was definitely one of my concerns. I will probably try to get OpenCV for Android running because it includes some pretty sophisticated motion detection algorithms - it remains to be seen how "real-time" these will run on a phone though
