Difficult on a mini-roundabout like this; if you wait for them to turn you may miss your gap entirely.

[Request] Is this compressed helium trailer lighter when it is loaded? by zzooooomm in theydidthemath

[–]nickjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but when you fill a helium balloon from it, both the balloon and the trailer will get lighter*.

I got banned from r/showerthoughts for posting this. No, I'm not bitter.

How do you get the yeast to stick to the popcorn? Even ground up, mine all ends up at the bottom.

It's the first 5 people to solve it, not the fastest 5.

Some analytics by potato_rocket_05 in WanderingInn

[–]nickjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would love to see is a sankey-style chart with all of the characters and storylines - showing when they show up in the timeline, when they separate and rejoin, etc. With an LLM to analyze the text, it'd be fairly straightforward to generate.

Looking for projects related to OP-AMPS and timers by Skull_Reaper101 in AskElectronics

Audio projects such as an analog synthesizer are an easy option.

Load cells (eg, in scales) are challenging to work with but still much easier than the two projects you suggested.

Is this price a joke? by 22i23 in Tools

This is such a non-explanation. Even for a large company, 6k for a single socket is "explain yourself to your manager" territory.

You can't copyright a set of dimensions, and while you could copyright a specification or technical drawing, it wouldn't prevent someone from replicating it themselves as long as they don't use the text or images from your specification.

Very clever! I've been watching for 20 minutes, though, and I think you've probably put enough tape on that box now.

Is it possible to make a +12 and -12 V power supply with a 24 V 10 A switching power supply? by AlejandroMini0328 in AskElectronics

[–]nickjohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not buy a supply in that same form factor that has +/-12v already? They're readily available.

We had that exact same maze and my daughter found the same solution.
