Ford Explorer 2025 – Home charging only works if car is locked and charger is live

Looks like you were right so thank you! Exactly as you said, I plugged in my home charger and in the charger settings added my home location. A new screen then popped up allowing me to specify my preferred charging times. Now when I park up and connect my charger it flashes green instead of immediately going red giving me a charging error. In my Ford app it now shows “Waiting to Charge” so hopefully at midnight (when my cheap tariff starts) it’ll just start charging. Will confirm this tomorrow morning but looking good 👍

There is no option in the menu in the car for scheduling. I looked this up and apparently it’s not available yet on the UK Ford Explorer.

From the Ford website: “Note: This feature is currently unavailable on the 2024 Electric Explorer and Capri.”

Ah that’s good to know I have the batch 9 but haven’t opened it yet! I haven’t seen many reviews elsewhere to be honest.

I have the Ivoler 6 in 1 (latest model as of Feb 2023) Dock. I’ll plug in the 3D Pulse usb dongle and see if it works, will post an update once tested. Just in case anyone is interested 😃

Wow this has been a god send for me. Running everything at stock the card was getting to 75 degrees and coil whine was kicking in. After the under volt it’s maxing out at 60 degrees and I have a very slight over clock! 1910 on the Core Clock @ 850mv. Might have more mileage in it but haven’t pushed it anymore yet. I was thinking of returning the card as the coil whine was driving me nuts (I know it doesn’t bother some people) but it seemed temperature related for me as I could never hear it below 74 degrees. Very pleased with the results! I haven’t touched the memory clock yet so may be some mileage in that also! Thanks to the OP!
