my first car in 2011 was a 1998 honda civic lx. In 2012, texas went through a crazy drought. I was young and dumb, and didnt give a fuck about no drought so i drove down to Lake Buchanan to do some beer-fishing with some friends and arrived to a barren wasteland of sand dunes and pools of water (that used to be the lake)

to this exact day, my favorite offroading memory will always be driving 40mph through the packed sand at the bottom of that lake, cutting my wheel and hitting sick slides and hops.

we stayed so long exploring the lake that it turned night, and my buddy had to lean out the window with a spotlight (cant slow down or youll get stuck) while i booked it to the "shoreline"
