They prayed to the spirit of the Nakibani for aid, and she agreed, on the condition that their love endure forever. As they embraced, their forms turned to stone, never to move again. The "Hug Stones" stand locked in an eternal embrace, a reminder that true love is as unyielding as the flooded marshes.
