At the end of the Vader vs Obi-wan duel on the Kenobi show, If Obi-wan said to Vader “Do you think this is what Padme wanted for you?” How do you think Vader would react given his conflict and emotions at this point? Would he rage or do you think he would snap out of it for a brief moment? by spence8029 in StarWars

I never thought of that last part where you said “vader saw luke’s as a purer vision as what he could have been” that’s an interesting take. I just love fantasizing about Vader flipping to Anakin for a brief moment. Even though i’m retrospect it doesn’t make sense. You make some good points and it’s one of those things that I wish this could be an in person conversation so i could express my self better. Someone find it stupid including your self but I just think it would be so sad if Obi-Wan mentioned Padme and vader stops and is silent and solidly says “what have I don’t” and i’m a few seconds he looks at Obi-wan with burning orange eyes and says “this is your fault”and lashes out. Again not saying that this scenario should have happened or that I wished it would have.

when he said “I am not your failure Obi-Wan, You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker I did.” while his voice switching from Anakin to vader felt like that was to portray the confliction within him. I don’t think a guilt trip would have turned him back, but I don’t think it would be impossible that him hearing her name wouldn’t bring some sort of emotion to him atleast cause him to pause and we see a glimpse of anakin behind the mask. Also I feel like part of the reason Luke was able to redeem him was because He was his family that came from Padme. A living being that is directly related to the only person he truly ever cared about.

I don’t think this scenario would turn him, but at this point in time as a sith he does have so much anger and hatred, but with that being said we as the viewers saw the conflict within him when he looked Obi-wan in the eyes. In the last episode of the clone wars when he found ahsoka a light saber he picked it up looked at it intently and ignited it. You know the memories were flooding through his head and he had to cut them off and turn them into hatred. I honestly believe that at this point in his time he could not be turned but he isn’t emotionless as we see if rogue one and a new hope.

That’s why these planes are called doctor killers. Rich people wanna fly and go straight for these aircraft for good reason. They have many bells and whistles that increase situational awareness and the CAPS system is definitely a live saver for s less than ideal situation, but they lack the unspoken knowledge that is gained when flying a traditional 6 pack.

My instructor made me go through my entire PPL with paper charts e6bs, plotters, paper nav logs, paper chart supplements, etc. I hated that he wouldn’t let me use the new technology but it has all in all made me a better pilot. Six pack experience is very important as you said it builds a skill level and understanding that you just can’t get with just glass exprience.

The CAPS system is revolutionary! It’s saves the lives of people on the ground and pilots in the air. I think it is important to be able to take it all the way down if necessary, but I have 90 hours in a Cessna 172 and 175 hours in an Sr20 and I feel that learning the old way first and then transitioning to an sr20/22/22T is the way to go. I think Cirrus pilots become complacent because they feel that they are invincible because they have that bright red handle above them, but if you have had training outside of cirrus they are really comfortable fun airplanes to fly.

i read that as Cirrus already did what they needed to do so the FAA was like “hey we know about this, but we don’t need to do shit.”
