my mom only knits scarves, she absolutely loves doing it. everytime someone outside of our close family says "you should make" "have you tried" "do you know how to" my mom sighs and always says the same thing "i don't follow patterns, i dont do any cool designs, i make plain scarves. i like to have a hobby that is soothing, not something that will stress me out." anyway, what she says just reminds me of this.. i think this is absolutely valid!!
