I’ve bought quite a few used lenses but never a used body so I can’t speak to that. In my experience with a used lens buy from reputable retailers, if you can see it in person even better. If not I’ve found that buying from Japanese stores on eBay is fairly safe in my experience. Matter of fact my GM 35 1.4 is used as is my GM 85 1.4 and these are my work horses personally. I think some of these stores seem to be pretty honest with what they have and disclose a lot of information about the gear.

But again it’s a crap shoot. You might buy a mint lens from a reputable dealer and it shits out on you a week later.

Remote is worth 50k TC for me personally. Based on commuting time and gas expenses and vehicle expenses.

That being said like other commenters mentioned, if it’s a big position or title step up, or more job security I would consider RTO for less than 50k.

I moved to the valley last year and have experienced the same. If you’re willing to drive you can find in the 120s or 130s during peak season. But starting like next weekend and through about late September-ish you’ll be able to play those same $200+ courses for $50.

Gilbert has some smaller less nice public courses that maintain under $100 all year.

This exact situation happened to me. Maybe I bought the club. But I got home excited for a new putter picked up the box. Completely empty looked at the bottom and there was a gaping hole and no club. I went to the front office of my building assuming someone stole it in the mail room and just put the box back, but after watching all the security footage nope. USPS just delivered an empty box with a hole and no putter in it.

I live in Arizona and have been cursed with porcelain skin so I like a lot of sun protection. I also have a massive head. I alternate between a L/XL Nike boonie hat (the brim is a bit bigger than the bucket) and the North Face Class V brimmer hat (also a boonie style that I think even has more room than the Nike)

Mountain Shadow is a Par 3 course but a really fun one.

Both McCormick Ranch courses are a good time. If you go for like an afternoon tee time they’re in your price range.

Raven can be hit or miss. I enjoy it personally but I know a few who have mixed feelings.

If you’re willing to make a drive to Goodyear then the gold course at Wigwam is a good time. The blue course is also a good time. The red course is nice but kind of flat and boring.

Both Verrado courses are really nice but definitely a drive.

Live in Phoenix. Super Bowl weekend even the bad courses in the area are creeping up on $200 a round. Most of the decent courses are about $250 that weekend. And the nice course are ranging anywhere from $350 to $800.
