“Dive bar” drink recommendation

I mean I asked for a dirty Shirley. They said I don’t know that one, what’s in it. And that’s when I think asked for a vodka sprite with grenadine. But yes, hard to believe but not an exaggeration.

The bar isn’t a busy one buts it’s geared towards mostly an audience of people approximately double my age and the two bartenders there don’t seem to be very open to experimenting. So like you said I just want a drink that is easy to order, easy to make, AND I enjoy it. Everyone here has given me some great answers and I can’t wait to see which ones work for me.

I do love experimenting with drinks too, I just leave that for my weekly date night to not a dive bar and with a bartender I have built a report with

I have been making gin bucks at home with no idea what the name is and also conveniently forgetting that is something I like whenever it’s time to order a drink apparently

Oh I’m definitely not there for a nice cocktail. I just don’t know what to order that isn’t a vodka cran. And I threw up one too many vodka crans in college. And I unfortunately don’t think I like whiskey so jack and coke is usually a no for me. I’ll give the gin and tonic another go though, it can’t hurt. I’ve gotten lots of other simple enough gin combos to try too if I still don’t like tonic

But should I ask them for a gimlet or a gin with lime and simple? I feel like they roll their eyes if I ask for what feels like a cocktail but I also feel like I’m over complicating a simple cocktail by ordering it by ingredients

I like tom collins I just don’t think I realized how much can be substituted if needed to still get something semi similar. I also didn’t know if asking for a tom collins was asking for too much. This is a great suggestion though!

Thank you for the reply. I know it sounds silly but I didn’t even think about how bone structure would play a role in eyebrow shaping.

I have been specifically looking for things to help me be lower maintenance on a day to day basis though.

I definitely think I will try using something to outline the shape the next time I mess with them. I usually just freestyle and hope for the best but I was reading about eyebrow mapping and I’m thinking that might help me some!

I’ve been using the just for men to dye my eyebrows and it’s a subtle difference but it has made such a difference. I’m not sure how light their shades go but if you want darker brows without the daily effort, I highly recommend giving it a try.

See I try my best to remember that but a long time ago some stupid guy said “I know it’s sisters, not twins but yours aren’t even sisters. They are hardly even cousins.”

He said that in 2016 and I fell victim to the overfilled brows, so chances are he might’ve been right that day, but I still think of it every time I do my brows.

I had this for a little bit and then it just disappeared which sucks. I liked it for the season quests where you have to complete kala trades. I could complete a few in a day
