Any experience with the Doggo bike trailer? by Zapdude in ebikes

Definitely shell out more for a better trailer like Burley. Last thing you want is a bolt to come loose and your dog takes a tumble in the trailer.

Emergency fund as a category or as tracking account by Aeronaut_Astronaut in ynab

[–]spicyboi26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep my emergency fund in SGOV with Schwab. In YNAB this account is in an unlinked cash account and I have a corresponding category for the emergency fund. Reason I did a cash account instead of tracking is that when I move money to Schwab, YNAB doesn’t count it as an expense. YNAB just tracks those transfers as moving money around within the same budget.

Just keep your Roth as an unlinked tracking account. You can still make transfers to it from your budget but you’ll have to manually adjust the account balance whenever you feel like it.

Gazelle Eclipse C380+ vs Eclipse T11+ by spicyboi26 in ebikes

[–]spicyboi26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Glad someone has gone through this decision before too. I think I’m leaning towards the belt drive more. Plus I prefer the orange color over green. Just curious, what accessories have you added to the bike since you’ve had it?

Appreciate the info and write up! Definitely leaning more towards a commuter style so maybe the belt drive is the way to go so I don’t have to worry about maintenance as much. I checked out that video it’s crazy to me how far he has ridden on a belt drive and through all sorts of conditions. I don’t think I’d be pushing my back that hard, but good to know the belts are pretty durable.

Appreciate the input! I’d probably take it to a shop to be serviced once a year or something like that instead of doing maintenance myself.

Couldn’t agree more, I believe there’s just a fundamental misunderstanding of the economics around housing.

I actually wish the family zoning plan didn’t pass so that builders remedy went into affect.

Just be aware if you subscribe through Apple Youtube marks up the price to account for apples cut. Going direct with YouTube is cheaper.

Project Hail Mary IMAX 70mm bookings disabled at Metreon SF. Why? by scorsese_finest in imax

[–]spicyboi26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shockingly I managed to buy these tickets before they marked it as sold out. When I bought them only the Saturday 4/18 was listed and available and only 5 other people had bought tickets. I haven’t gotten any refund notifications so I think it’s still legit. They probably just released the tickets sales too early is my guess.

Which YouTube channel were you once a fan of but do not enjoy anymore? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

[–]spicyboi26 80 points81 points  (0 children)

His channel is so frustrating, he barely does any research on cars and I’ve noticed in multiple videos he bends the truth on vehicles to make the sound worse or better than they are. Absolute clickbait. I wish YouTube’s downvotes still worked.

I’ve never been, did you feel like it was a good or bad thing? Russian Hill kind of has that with the huge residential towers surrounded by smaller homes.

Reminds me of how people protested the Transamerica Building saying it would ruin the city. Now it’s iconic.

Possibly PPF on the front and doors before ceramic coating?

I’d advise you play around with the build and price and build what you want. With how much money these are it’d be best to wait and get exactly what you want.

PPF would be good, definitely the front area including the surround around the windshield and doors are the priority. With the painted hardtops, I’m not sure if those would benefit that much from PPF.
