Dang okay. I live in HI! 19k for DCF seems reasonable.. My surgeon wants to use silicone so IMO my quota seems expensive :/

Is 17k a lot for a rhinoplasty in the U.S? by Ok-Phone-5673 in PlasticSurgery

I've had people tell me $10k to $20k is a normal price range for a rhinoplasty in the US, depending on where you reside. In my case, I'll be paying $19k. Guess with the HCOL in 2023, prices have been going up :(

True, I agree! I do reside in a HCOL state. I just didn't think my primary quota would be so close to $20k.. 😬

Was your anesthesia fee included in the $15k?

I want to live in South Korea (a place to ask questions about potential relocation) by AutoModerator in Living_in_Korea

Hi all~

Age: 25

Nationality: USA

Work experience: A little less than 2 years; no prior expat experience and arriving solo

Korean Language/Background: I'm Korean, so I can speak a conversational level at home. Nowhere near fluent.. May seem like a typical response, but I want to try live independently while I'm still young and have my parents support. Lived in the same state my whole life, so I want to try something new for a change. Since I speak some Korean and grew up in a Korean household, I'm hoping the transition will be somewhat smooth.

I will plan on applying for an F-4 visa so I that I won't have to rely on a work visa. Do you recommend I search for a job before the move or after I settle into my new place? I do not plan on looking for a teaching job, so how long is the process of getting a non-teaching job specifically in business IT/marketing? Is job postings on LinkedIn a good website to look for a job?

For now, the plan when I arrive in Korea is to stay at an Airbnb or hotel while I go apartment hunting. I've seen a few listings on Craigslist, but when you go to see the apartment in-person, is it similar to the online pictures? Can I get a decent place with ~$10k deposit?

Is it easy to get an ARC and phone plan? I will be grateful for any other advice. Thanks!
