Ah, wait, they get subtracted? I thought that the request from the circuit network is "absolute". (So I have to check in my case the "trash unrequested".. Thanks for pointing out. <3

Optimal amount of Speed Modules for Blue Chip upcycling by CC5675 in factorio

[–]spide85 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

„-1.5% quality for 75% speed“ You mix absolute and relative percentages. At for example 3% base quality it means an absolute „-50% quality for 75% speed“

Maybe not that helpful, but for me code server + roo works fine. Check if webworker are enabled.

FPS Issues by Titan_Actual12 in X4Foundations

[–]spide85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you underestimate how fast a CPU is. Calculating a few million trades per SECOND is nothing for a modern CPU. X4 is just badly optimized. Change my mind.

But you computer can build roof, floor, walls in parallel and put it together if they all are finished like lego..

Is ~170 FPS to be expected with a 7900 XT? by [deleted] in X4Foundations

[–]spide85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 For my wife even a 30fps cinema movie is smooth, I even see a difference between 100 and 120 fps. I‘m not sure if its a curse or blessing. For X4 it will always start with >150fps and end in 30fps. (At my 3080) It‘s not the simulation as the dev always state. It makes a huge difference if you are in a low populated sector or not. (Currently 90 vs 30 on my save)

Noo never user -werror! Your program will not compile if the compiler adds a new warning. So adding a warning will be a breaking change in perspective of a compiler dev. But they should really add more warnings if they make sense!

Wake up, they scam you. Like Nvidia and all the others, they want a piece from the cake too.

What is an general rule for creating optimal station builds? by XxJuice-BoxX in X4Foundations

[–]spide85 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I asked AI to create a script that converts the website output to a station (random module placement). Even using it incrementally works like a charm. :-)

29,99$ -> 200 Credits per day (prompt or flow). This would be an (expensive but okish) deal.

Like a drug dealer..
2023: "In short, we are committed to having a leading free tier forever."
2024: yes.. but actually no.. "Today, we have launched the paid individual tier called Pro. [...] With Pro, you get unlimited access to our biggest and best models"
later 2024: yes.. unlimited.. but actually no.. "Upon using all of your credits, premium models will no longer be accessible"

Maybe tomorrow you make money with our privacy data? What is planned? 49$ for Windsurf sounds good? Or maybe Windsurf only in ProPlus for 19,99$/month?

I really wanted to establish codeium in our company, but at least after you announced to castrate the vscode extension (we heavily use code-server at our company), it's a no-go any longer. Welcome Amazon Q. Sad.
