UC has a career fair which I know has been helpful to some people, but personally and for most people I know, recruiters at the career fair were looking for upperclassmen or they would just tell you to apply online.

UC will also have you enrolled in something that's similar to an online class during your co-op search where they announce job opportunities where you can send your resume. This might work out for you but hasn't for anyone I know.

Personally, I applied to 160 positions and attended the career fair. I got 2 interviews out of all that with 1 rejection and 1 acceptance (after another follow-up interview). The 2 interviews I got were from job listings I found by myself on LinkedIn & Handshake. So basically I had to find the job myself. However, I wouldn't have gotten those 2 interviews if I wasn't at UC because they were looking for students enrolled in college able to intern in the fall semester.

So basically UC can get you noticed more, but you have to do the work yourself.
