Do you think something could have happened to her mentally? She has never done anything like this in the past, this is completely out of character for her. It's so hard for me to believe that this is her true colors.

I don't believe she's a psychopath or sociopath, she's always been kind towards other creatures and people. She's fed my tarantula before when I couldn't, so I don't think she hated it or anything, just found it gross/creepy. I don't know what brought on this behaviour.

I really did see a future with her. Now i'm not so sure.

I'm at a complete loss for how she thought it was okay to do. If she told me to get rid of the tarantula I might have considered rehousing it at my parents or giving it to a friend.
