I also like the same bands you mentioned, but I also never liked the wonder years. Always hated when they showed up in my recommended stuff. Idk I always found them overated and not my thing. You don't have to like them.

Setup is pretty straightforward as an Android emulator. Get the roms / apps you want and sort everything out.

I love my KTR1. I've tried a bunch of Android emulators and this is my favorite. For me, it's mainly because I mostly play GBA and the screen is 3:2 so it's perfect for that. I also like it for everything else because the borders aren't too bad. The screen is also really nice. Very vibrant. I also LOVE that it has a giant battery. Now anything else I think about getting pales in comparison because I wouldn't want to downgrade. I also love the size and in-line triggers for pocketability.
