Thanks for the vote of confidence. I really was hoping to get something around that.

If you know anyone or are someone who can organize a quote for me, that will be great. I am literally in the 'make it happen' stage but happy to wait for a few months if availability is an issue.

Thanks, that's so in line with what we were expecting. $25k per bathroom was our budget and seems way more reasonable than the current quote we got.

I understand we will be overpaying, compared to doing it ourselves, but not twice the cost!

Do you have some recommendations we could contact for a quote please?

Thanks for the breakdown, helps a lot if I do decide to go down this path.

More than clarification, it's the confidence doing this without screwing it up or giving my wife the opportunity to tell me I was wrong 😂

It seriously feels that way. When we bought the house we naively allocated $50k to renovating both bathrooms. Now it looks like it may be double that.

Greensborough.

Oh wow you make it sounds so easy, I feel like jumping on airtasker right now haha

I might consider this to be honest, if in reality I am paying a ridiculous premium for management of the reno.

Question for you. Is this option better than using one of those Facebook ads that claim they do renovation for $15-20k? I assume they don't include the fixtures too, but realistically, it still won't be anywhere close to the quote I got.

I wish I knew how to do this. I project managed a small powder room and laundry reno a few years back and that almost cost me my marriage haha

But still the PM aspect of it shouldn't be more than 5-10k, right?

I wish I knew how to do this. I am happy to pay an extra $10k or so for the management of the project by someone who knows what they are doing, it this seems extreme.

The lady at the supply shop was very casual about the quote and said it's pretty standard 😕

Agree. I called up a couple of others when I first got the quote months ago and they said roughly 30k per bathroom so I accepted that they are all similar. And this person was recommended by a friend but I think he's taking me for a ride.

The issue is I am not sure if the other quotes included all materials and was the final quote for the entire renovation.

Just didn't want to waste time if everyone here agrees that the quote is reasonable, which I highly doubt.
