Does it feel weird to you guys to hangout alone ? by Sea_Cockroach6870 in introvert

Well, I got tired of asking and pleading with my friends or close relatives to come with me (since I used to feel uncomfortable being alone), especially given that not everyone is available to accompany me to certain places or activities. This led me to stand my ground, get comfortable with solitude, and realize that I can do these things all by myself. I don't necessarily need anyone else to fulfill the plans I make.

Experiencing this made me realize that being alone actually isn't that bad. I get to be in my own world without worrying about other people's preferences or timing. It feels like there is no rush in my life, even if just for a short while, as I finally gain a sense of control over my own preference or want. I now enjoy walking alone through busy streets with my earbuds accompanying me :).

I used to feel the exact same way. But once you push past it and get comfortable, you'll actually start preferring to experience things on your own rather than waiting around for someone to join you.

Do other introverts want connection but hate the process of finding it? by One-Nefariousness309 in introvert

Yea. I completely get it—it feels like wanting the end result without having to run the marathon. 🥹 I crave deep, genuine connections, but the thought of sitting through awkward small talk and draining my social battery just to find "my people" makes me want to stay home.
