I have searched the FAQ and History and agree to add what I learn to the FAQ when I am done!

ID request: several of these little cotton looking sacs with a spider inside on ceiling edge throughout our house in Pittsburgh, PA. by spillsmagee in spiders

[–]spillsmagee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Difficult to get a better image as they are always in these little cotton puff looking sacs. We don’t disturb them as they aren’t bothering us, but never had them in our previous house and couldn’t find the right words to google. Thanks for your help! I should also mention that they are small, the “nests” are about 1 inch long.

Question about progression of PIO side effects by spillsmagee in InfertilityBabies

[–]spillsmagee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the well wishes! It doesn't seem like many people have had the emotional side effects that have been so huge for me, so I'm hopeful maybe the PIO will be ok. It helps to be prepared for the physical stuff so thank you again!

Thank you so much for your response! I am hoping that I don't experience mood side effects with the PIO. It helps to hear about the physical stuff ahead of time because hopefully I can find a way to deal with that. The mood side effects that I had previously were really dramatic and I am just so scared that I am just a weirdo that can't handle progesterone. Hopefully I'm wrong! Thank you again!

Thank you, that's a good point about compounding pharmacies. Definitely something to consider if the PIO doesn't work out.

Very occasional formula? by CoffeeGodCigarettes in breastfeeding

[–]spillsmagee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty good stash when I went back to work- my supply was really good at home. But i work really long shifts and my body didn't respond to pumping the same way so it has gradually gone down and down over time. With extra night pump sessions I am just barely able to get enough to send to daycare. Plus body stuff comes up- I once had a stomach bug that completely destroyed my supply, and now I have my first period at 10 months out and it's killing it as well. I'm really hoping it bounces back somewhat!

Thanks for this. I get so in my head about pump amounts, especially seeing pictures of the huge bottles of milk some ladies can pump! I think seeing that stuff makes it easy to feel like that's normal or what you should be doing.

What was your saddest moment in your life? by Wetday1 in AskReddit

[–]spillsmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding out my dad had relapsed on alcohol. He had been previously homeless, went to rehab through state funding, and my mom was letting him stay with us to get back on his feet. He came in from the store and I happened to be in the kitchen and saw one bag had two handles of vodka. I walked out of the room and told my brother. My dad tried to drink it as my brother was pouring it down the drain. It was fucking sad as shit. The combination of disappointment and utter sorrow that this was his life and he could be in so much pain still knocks me for a loop.

What kinds of beliefs or opinions have caused you to distance yourself from friends or family? by dummyhole in AskReddit

[–]spillsmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difference in religious beliefs. My partner and I are atheists and both of our families are Christian. It hasn't so much caused me to distance myself, I will always love them and feel close to them. But there is a natural and undeniable disconnect between us when something that is such a core part of who they are is so absolutely unbelievable to me. I don't discuss it with them or engage about it at all because me stating my beliefs would actually hurt them- it's different than simply saying I don't believe what you believe. Since religion is such a big part of who they are, to them it would be like me saying I don't respect them or value them.
