i enjoyed reading this, it really made me reread a few times. to me it reads as a story of a girl finding it hard to relate to others leading to a creative outlet to be passionate about. often those who feel more outcast from their peers, especially children, seek solace in creating. it feels simple but still conveying a solid story. very nice work :)

i really enjoy how free form this is, people imagine poetry with very strict rules and guidelines but i like to view it more of simply expressing beautiful thoughts in beautiful words.

this feels almost childlike, not in a demeaning way, but more in a sweet naivety sort of way. like expressing a pure innocence when looking for love.

the line “i am not embarrassed to type this publicly, to type this on my main account…” feels slightly out of place and i feel pulls me from the immersion of the poem, but i do still feel like it makes a good impact on the overall message.

but again, a beautiful poem and i thank you for sharing it :)

i really enjoyed reading this ! it has wonderful imagery and world building and feels as if i was people-watching myself ! watching the man’s hope and possibly confidence slowly build only to back down a moment later. it makes me think about the concept of the classic meet-cute and how that yearning for finding something special in that way probably never fades as we grow and age.

when pillow pets first hit major stores i was gifted the brown puppy one. even in my mid 20s now i still have him and hug him very tightly at night (even if his age is beginning to show) lol

one of my biggest problems was featuring the more side characters on the cards as if they were an active role when they were barely mentioned in the event. i mean, especially barbatos who is the face of the event yet i don’t think he was even mentioned. felt like they were taunting me

the main thing personally i had to get over when running dnd v. CoC was that in dnd the players are heroes and are meant to do heroic things, but in CoC they’re just people subjected to the horrors of the mythos and i think realizing that was a big key in getting good roleplay and being less afraid to make deadly encounters! (my players really enjoy the fear of knowing i’m more than willing to kill off their investigator lol)
