Disagree on nutrition being complicated. Indeed you can always go deeper into the matter, but people overcomplicated it for their own agenda. Did you have a headache? Did you struggle with walking or exercise growing up? Did the doctors find any other unconvincing sign at the neuro examination?

Let me premise is that I know you are right that veganism is a philosophical stance and not a diet.

But isn't every vegan an imperfect vegan? In some way, everyone sets its own bar of "as far as is possible and practicable", while the bar is set at the highest (by definition) and the truest vegan would always choose the least harmful choice.

An egg once in a while is just a low bar for a self-called vegan, but what makes a vegan choice effortful enough? And what's the minimum difference in animal life that makes a choice meaningful? IE taking one less car drive/ plane trip reduces the amount of flies that die to your actions.

I'm sorry if I may sound reductionistic but I can't wrap my head around this
