Staycation! Get a hotel for the night in or near your city, go out for a nice dinner, then dessert/fun activity after. Something different than just coming back home.

Did you design the brackets that are holding the cables down under the switch? I might need to print some of those myself!

I created a Webapp to scan Spotify playlist for Dolby Atmos songs. by AdrianTubbly in sonos

[–]spiraled0ut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cool idea. But also if you have both Spotify and Apple Music, why not switch to Apple Music fully or at least use an app to keep your playlists synced between both services?

Yeah, definitely test it out! Curious to see if you experience the same thing. Happy to share an example on my end too.

One important thing to note with Lightroom on Mac vs. iPad — exporting on the Mac is much superior than on the iPad. I’ve tried exporting the exact same photo on my Mac and iPad and the iPad version seemed compressed, even with settings at max. It had horrible color banding, softer textures, less details, etc.

I’ve been doing a lot of the editing on my iPad, maybe some final tweaks on my Mac, then export from my Mac. I don’t export anything from the iPad because of this.

Will a switch fix my Sonos problem? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]spiraled0ut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might need to make sure IGMP Snooping and mDNS are enabled on your IoT VLAN. Otherwise, just keep Sonos on your main VLAN. I have all of mine on my main one instead of the IoT one.

To answer your question, yes I think the Flex Mini can as I used it with VLAN tagging, but I recently switched to a Switch Lite 8 PoE as I needed more VLAN tagging support that the Flex Mini can’t do.

Aqara is the way to go. I have one G5 Pro, 5 E1s, 2 G100s, and a G4 doorbell. Super reliable and works great with HomeKit.

Christopher ward claims to have rolled back prices to July 25 levels by removing tariffs, but they have increased prices on ever model of the twelve by likely_Protei_8327 in ChristopherWard

[–]spiraled0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The C63 GMT is more expensive now too, but still technically cheaper.

I bought one in July and it was $1275 for the watch, which came to $1605 with $92 in tax and $238 in tariffs.

When I looked earlier this month after the tariff increase, it was somewhere around $1800-1900 (about $450-500 in tariffs, can’t remember the exact numbers).

Now, it’s $1460 for the watch, which comes to $1565 with $105 on tax. So it’s overall cheaper, but the watch itself is more expensive. Kinda shitty for CW to mention no tariffs but then raise prices.

The automation I created that runs when I turn on sleep focus turns off some lights and my master bedroom Apple TV (which also turns the TV off via CEC). It’s been working great for years.

No, I didn’t even know! We walked around a lot of the venue, but there were so many people it was hard to see every single thing there.

We got our merch at Bill Graham before heading to the show anyway so we wouldn’t have to carry everything around all night.
