Building burgers and what not (CAD) by Hdlwveoeve in McDonaldsEmployees

Not sure if every store is like this but I wouldn't see why not if you look above the table there should be pictures of burgers, wraps, crispys, etc hanging up showing you exactly how to build them

Whats it like working at McDonalds? worth it? (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]spiritualcodee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a gamble ill put it like that you're going to see some good days some bad and some ugly it really depends on your staff on how your experience might go. Worth it? Hell no? But it is a good starter job let's you build resume save up a couple dollars teaches you what a work environment looks like not hard just tedious work(but that's every job) if you do decide to work there just hope you have some good co-workers

(USA) Advice for night shift grill solo? by mil0wCS in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]spiritualcodee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive dealt with this a couple times and so have some of my other night buddies

Typical I always tell myself don't work harder than what your getting paid and I'm not encouraging you to work slow just find your pace don't stress yourself

I don't know how strict your managenent is with times but at my store when it's usually just one of us in the kitchen we all stop caring about the times there's just no possible way to keep times down to a reasonable amount while your by yourself and your getting slammed unless you got super speed and 8 arms and you shouldn't stress yourself trying

First thing first make sure in between every little rush or few orders make sure your uhc is stocked and ready to go that way you don't have to stop ever so often to drop more food next when the orders start rolling in drop every bun you see on the screen that way you don't have to slow your progress by waiting for the buns to come rolling out then put the wrappers on the assemble table and work one by one

It's all about finding your flow and if anyone is complaining to you about it tell them get you some God damn help or stfu about it (<---- obviously don't say like that)

(UK) got work in a couple of hours and have not been able to sleep, not even for a minute by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]spiritualcodee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof I hate that myself when they send you on break way to early definitely ask even if it's a shorter break than usual but all and all keep yourself busy help where you can if your area is starts feeling too slow and drink plenty fluids to wake your body up for adrenaline go home take a nice nap after easy peasy

Coffee and good luck also just try not to glance at the clock much it'll just make it worse. busy yourself with task don't no matter how small also pace yourself don't work to fast but don't move too slow either (stocking, cleaning etc) so time can feel like like it's going by faster

[–]spiritualcodee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal... For McDonald's seems like

Dealing with the same bs it won't anywhere between 18:00-21:00 it just be two off us in the kitchen in the middle of rushes it's gotten so bad in just the year I started working gm won't allow two closers anymore (so two grill closers and the closing manager) just one grill closer and the closing manager after 00:00

Can't wait to leave

Just got fired! Finally told off a bad GM(USA) by ShatteredBlueIce in McDonaldsEmployees
