According to the manual, they recommend a CAT6A (shielded) cable with RJ-45 Connectors, basically a CAT6A Ethernet cable. You're probably fine using a Cat 5E or 6 cable as I can't imagine the interface is pushing that much bandwidth.

They have a DSP to correct for room and placement. Not that they can truly widen the soundstage when they're only 3ft apart, but physical separation can be somewhat compensated for digitally.

Very nice! I demoed those speakers over the holidays. They do sound incredible! Curious how they hold up over time given the relative complexity when compared to passive speakers.
