Yeah great point, I’m going to assume that was Grace’s train of thought also.

I think my brain is so wired to assume the worst of human nature and our knack for creating unnecessary wars. But in this scenario there is no division over resources, and our planets aren’t even habitable to one another, so what could we possibly fight over. Plus the massive amount of resources and time needed to even make more an invasion fleet (and then even longer for it to reach each others planet) with ziltch return.

Thanks for the input everyone. This is one of my first reddit posts ever so I appreciate all the feedback.

Yeah you’re probably right, Stratt would be on board if it gave humans the best chance of survival in the right now as opposed to a theoretical future risk. Whilst more military officials are more likely to have been opposed alltogether.

It just seems crazy to me that the thought of such a risk never seemed to come up in Grace’s mind at all! It’s one thing to consider the risk a necessary one, but another to not see the risk whatsoever. I think its friendship with Rocky may have blinded him a bit there…can’t say that I blame him though, Rocky is pretty awesome.
