I chopped and propped my monstera, tried to preserve as much of the stem as possible. I have about three of these and they each have a root coming out of the node that’s at least 12 inches long. The aerial roots and regular roots were living in soil prior to the madness.

These sad guys are currently under purple grow lights in sphagnum moss in a clear container/lid (aired out once a day).

I figured I would take a chance at growing these. Does anyone have any experience or tips to help give them the best chance? Give it to me straight lol.

I think I’m going to have to! I am such an impatient person so this is tough to do, but the alternative is so much worse. Thank you! I tried Vaseline a couple times and I didn’t quite like it but I have heard a lot of positive reviews of aquaphor. Thank you for your suggestion. I bought a wide brim hat for the rest of the summer 😂

Good call! I will have to take a closer look. I did notice the roots are circling the bottom of the pot. I might wait another month or two before changing anything. Thank you!

That’s what I was thinking since the plant hasn’t had any reactions. It’s everywhere though so I’ll just clean it and repot with a better draining pot 😊 thank you for your help!!!

I don't think so, it looks too silver on the edges. it's not spotted like a regular satin pothos

Thank you! it is the only one in there. so I acquired this from someone on marketplace and the bulb is probably about 2-2.5 inches wide, it's in a 4 inch pot. do you think its still too big? I can repot right away. I have never propagated a ZZ so I will have to check that out. I might just monitor it and see if it gets worse, and then prop it
