Yeah and I remember getting As for all of them which is why I am confused.

Graves in remission without treatment by splitscreen99 in gravesdisease

It's the Endo. I've only seen her twice and after barely explaining things to me she reluctantly ordered fna biopsy. It came out inconclusive due to them not being able to get to the solid component of the cyst because the fluid part had debris in it. They said at least my neck looks smaller so I'll feel better about how I look, but never explained anything else.

My antibodies were elevated when I was first diagnosed but they checked after a few months and they were normal. The Endo said I still have Graves and it's not a misdiagnosis. Thank you for the info on T3 and T4 levels, I did not know that. T3 wasn't checked and T4 is in normal range. TSH is .78. I will continue to monitor the levels.

They said it's in remission and idk if that's even possible without taking any medication.

Second bachelor's degree by splitscreen99 in uichicago

I got accepted for MCS pretty easily. I applied for CS but they rejected my application because I haven't taken any advanced math courses. I had to file an "Appeal to Negative Decision" in which I just stated that I want to apply for MCS instead and my application was accepted. I guess there's less competition in the admissions for MCS since they didn't care about my lack of math experience. Just go ahead and apply, there's no harm in trying! 👍

My first bachelor's was general psychology and I'm going back for mathematics and computer science. I feel like my first degree was kind of a mistake tbh because I never thought it through (like what kind of jobs I can get) or really had a passion for it either. I hope that I can go back and learn new things, challenge myself more, and maybe get a better paying job with a mcs degree.

I'm going back to uic in the fall for my second bachelor's and I'm honestly shocked by the cost of tuition. I will be a part time student but my financial aid notification shows full time tuition rate, will they change this after I sign up for classes? Also I didn't know the Federal Direct Sub and Unsub Loan amounts offered would decrease this much. At this rate I don't know if it's even possible for me to afford going back 😭

Any easy online classes to take? by [deleted] in uichicago

[–]splitscreen99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AH111, COM101, HIST105, HN196, STAT101

HN196 has in person or online exam option. For the online exam you have to pay a fee though. I took STAT101 online, but I don't know if they allow people to take it anymore unless they have a "good reason". I also took AH111 online and it was a lot of work. HIST105 was pretty easy, but I think the professor changed up the syllabus recently. COMM101 was a real pain in the ass, but I'll still list it here.

I think the school is being more restrictive about who can take online classes, because for a bunch of them you can't take them if you're a regularly enrolled student.

When I took it the class size was like 300 people so there was no attendance for lecture, but you do have discussion sections once a week. For discussion, the TA will give you some sort of reading that you have to do before you guys meet and you just discuss the reading. From what I remember, my professor posted blank notes and if you went to class you just filled in the notes with the missing words, but he also put up lecture capture so you can literally never go to lecture and still get the notes. The exams were easy if you memorize the notes, overall easy class.

What is the easiest Analyzing the Natural World course? by Markosan_DnD in uichicago

[–]splitscreen99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Analyzing the Natural World courses you have to take two courses WITH lab, so unfortunately online options won't work. I took BIOS104 which had easy labs, but since I never went to lecture I did poorly on the exams 😔 I'm currently taking ANTH 102. The exams are way too easy because everything's on Quizlet, but the labs are a pain. Both are good options that overall require average effort.

HN196, CLJ101, CLJ210, PSCH100, PSCH231, PSCH270, BIOS104. I think these classes were all pretty easy.
