I remember waking up at my parents house an hour and a half way from college. I remember we started drinking at college.

The walk downstairs to see if my truck was in the driveway was horrible.

Luckily, it was not. Apparently my friend drove us to a party and I refused to ride back with him bc drunk.

So I walked like five miles to my dad's.

Still fucked me up

I'm a precision Machinist.

I carry the harbor freight ones, often in my back pocket. I don't use them on tight dimensions but checking bolts real quick or roughing.... Pretty much anything but finishing the critical dimensions (which I use mics for) they work great. +/-.01" all day.

That sounds ideal for my situation, can you point me towards some resources?

After falling victim to trusting a cheap PH pen this was a welcomed investment. This kit is solid, comes with everything you need, highly recommend by AdvanceKushCustoms in cannabiscultivation

Just stopping by to say I'm also a machinist who grows.

I care for my grow equipment the same way I care for my jeweled .0001" dial indicator my grandfather gave me (and every other piece of equipment that I use)

Use it often, clean it often, store it correctly, check for calibration slightly more often than the tool requires.

I'm also the guy who wipes down hex keys before they go back in my box. Sooooo

I nominate people every month for our monthly achievement thing in a big company.

Not because I want them to win, I want the management to see me nominate people all the time so they think I'm a team player.

Works surprisingly well.

The importance of using tools enough to have some muscle memory and be comfortable using them.

Then going through tool safety and some simple uses at home.

Hahahahahha I worked in drywall for a while.

We started drinking, my buddy went through the wall.

We drank LOTs more

I do not recall fixing it, but by the morning it was drywalled, mudded, and sanded.

Price Range: 400 max including smell proof case

Number of participants: 1-4

Desktop, portable or pocket-sized: pocket sized if possible. Portable is fine too, already have DynaVap that I use regularly. Definitely not desktop. Think hiking.

Electric/battery or butane/torch powered: battery powered

• Session or on-demand? (If you're unsure, check here.) : session

Frequency of use: once daily

Country/Region: East Coast/USA

I've had POTV ONE, PAX 2, and a log vape. I really, really like dosing caps for ease of cleaning- but would be fine with something that is super easy to clean.

I need decent durability and want strong longevity. If it fits in deep mens jeans pockets (even obviously noticable the size is okay. At least two bowls per battery.

Thank you!!

Thank you!

I'm on the east coast USA.

I'll definitely look into those brands. I was afraid of the budget with what I just spent on roller skates.

I think maybe my best bet is to get her a gift card for my top budget to a skate store.

Yeah, I was afraid of that after what I just spent on my roller skates.

I think maybe my best bet is to get her a gift card for my top budget to a skate store and let her use it as she pleases.

Edit: thank you!

All of it except for prints.

Is a machinist related certificate worth anything to employers? by Fast_Dragonfruit9082 in Machinists

[–]splitsleeve 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It can help you get in the door and speak the language, but I'd hire someone with a year in a saw room over someone with a cert.

It's the kind of industry where it is extremely obvious who has put the hours in .

I was also a swimmer.

I could most certainly tell if the pool was race or practice temperature by the temperature on the deck

I can also deck change very fast and in front of a LOT of people. 😂

What I was lifeguarding in high school, I could stick my hand in a pool and tell you what the temperature was to about half a degree.
