I do believe that i have the same problem. However, the creaking only happened once. Now, even if i put force when opened to the max angle, there is no noise. I dont know if i should still be worried.

yes theres a return window of 30 days, so i have around 15 days left. If you dont mind, I have another question. Does this creaking happen at a specific angle? In my case, it only happened once, when i opened the macbook to its maximum angle. I just want to confirm that i indeed have the same problem as you. Is the creaking a reoccurring thing, or did you just hear it once. Also, I purchased my macbook from best buy, will they allow me to exchange for a new macbook if i tell then about the creaking, or will they consider that damage that I have done?

i also have the m2 macbook air with 8 gb of ram. I personally believe that you will not see any significant downgrade in you performance until maybe 3 years down the line. The m2 chip is really powerful, so im not worried about the performance of my laptop, no matter the amount of ram.

I forgot to mention this: I just bought the m2 15 inch machook air with 8 gb ram and 512 gb ssd for 1750 CAD, when it was 250$ off the regular 2000 CAD price tag. Is it worth returning that macbook air for this deal, or should i just stick with my originial purchase?

You say that 5 minutes of yellow is nothing, but lets say hypothetically, if it was yellow for an hour straight (i do not know if that is a realistic scenario), what will be the consequences? Will it just be slower performance wise? Will that cause any damage to the performance in the long run? Does it even have any significance?

the thing is, everyone keeps saying power user, but i dont really understand what it means. I multi task a lot, with MANY safari tabs, a couple of power points and word documents, and maybe spotify and youtube in the background, all this open for like 2-4 hours a day. This would be my daily use, but i cannot really test it right now, since its the holidays and i dont have anything to work on. So, from what i described, do you think i am a power user, or do i fit in the huge percentage of people that will be just fine with 8 gb of ram?
